Arturo Fuente - Hemingway Short Story (Gran Reserva)

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

  1. The wrapper on my A. Fuente was a lot darker than the one pictured. Nice maduro looking and feeling cigar. Very easy draw. Very leathery. Smoked this one finishing Francis Schaeffer's 'The God Who is There' and listening to George Benson 'Ode to a Kudu'. I recommend all of these.

  2. Note there is a video review on this cigar in the post Blues-Cigar Face-Off.

I've had a few and they're very good - nice and sweet, smooth, cinnamon and leathery to start out and then get minty and strong about halfway through.

They're from the Dominican Republic and Arturo Fuente is a top-of-the-range brand. Hemingway line are all Cameroon wrapper leaves and dominican tobacco filler. They also need to be at higher humidity than the cubans - a good 70% - to keep their flavour when smoked... which is annoying!

  3. Sorry to see the best coffee cigar poll closed with only one vote. I know I enjoyed those cigars but I just don't remember which was best with coffee. Was the Cohiba Secretos the one from batch one or are they the little ones?

  4. I might just try this smokey jdub experience over the weekend with a nice single malt.
